Tammy Wynette (May 5, 1942 – April 6, 1998) was an American country singer and songwriter. She was known as the "First Lady of Country Music" and one of her best-known songs was "Stand by Your Man," which was one of the biggest selling hit singles by a woman in the history of the music genre. Tammy Wynette was born Virginia Wynette Pugh near Tremont, Mississippi, the only child of William Hollis Pugh (died February 13, 1943) and Mildred Faye Russell (1922–1991). She was always called Wynette (pronounced Win-net), or Nettie, instead of Virginia. Her father was a farmer and local musician.

Sweet dreams of you
Every night I go through
Why can't I forget you
And start my life anew?
Instead of having
Sweet dreams about you
You you don't love me it's plain
I should know I'll never wear your name.
I, I should hate you
The whole night through
Instead of having
Sweet dreams about you.
Sweet dreams of you
Every night I go through
Why can't I stop loving you
And find somebody new?
Instead of having
Sweet dreams about you.
Instead of having
Sweet dreams about you...
